Speereo Speech Browser is a web browser for PC that revolutionizes Internet and turns it into Voice Navigated Web! Everything is done with VOICE COMMAND! All links on web-pages are analyzed and become voice commands – i.e. you don’t have to click a link any more – JUST READ IT OUT LOUD. Speereo Speech Recognition System will analyze, recognize and open that link for you.
Look more about ASR&TTS technologySpeereo Speech Browser application consists of two modules: browser window and Speereo Speech Recognition System window.
Main window is ascetic for simple reason – we know that you open a browser not to look at it, but to look through it onto web-pages.
Only necessities are visible: your microphone level and speech recognition result.
Your microphone level will show you how well does your system microphone picks up your voice.
Speech recognition result will be displayed at the bottom of the screen just to show you what exactly our system recognized of what you have said.
Speech Recognition System window will open each time you start Speereo Speech Browser and can be minimized into your system tray.
This window gives you access to settings and offers a list of available voice commands.
Voice commands list will be specific for each web-page you visit. It displays all available commands that Speereo Speech Recognition System sees on given page.
So, this looks interesting, you might say, but how do I use it?
Very easy, you say any link you see on the page in front of you. For example look at Speereo News portal web-page here.
You can change theme of news you watch (top navigation bar), you can watch something else in the same category (commands at the bottom), you can access your account or portal preferences (a small link ‘Site Menu’ above info-block by video).
And it is the same way in any other web-page you open – just read out loud the link you wish to open.
Speereo News portal was designed and created for two reasons:
a) It is the first and best example of Voice Navigated Web that can be viewed with Speereo Speech Browser;
b) It is the video news portal offering its users news coverage from different point of views – i.e. offering freedom in news consumption, where users decide what to believe after hearing different sides of one story.
Portal start page offers links to all main parts of the portal:
- Project/technology/product description;
- Speereo Speech Browser download link;
- Video News section;
- User preferences;
- Exit.
Remember, you can SAY any link you see on this page and Speereo Speech Browser will open it for you.
Once registered with Speereo News portal, you will have access to ‘My preferences’ menu.
Here you can:
- Modify own account information;
- Edit preferences (set news relevancy in days);
- Edit sources that video news will be offered to you.
Again – SAY any link you see and Speereo Voice Browser will open it for you.
Once you say ‘video news’ Speereo Speech Browser will open that section and you will be taken to Speereo News main page. Once again – you can open any link in our portal simply by reading it out loud (with voice command that is).
By default you will see a slide show of screenshots that will display pictures from miscellaneous news videos.
From here you can go to a desired news category (top menu), watch the video that you think is interesting (see voice commands displayed at the bottom of the page) or access Site menu for preferences and settings.
Speereo News portal can be viewed in windowed and full screen modes.
In full screen mode section menu is displayed on the right from video window and voice command tips on the left. To exit full screen more – say ‘Full screen’ once again and browser will display Speereo News in windowed more once again.
As mentioned above – use your voice! You can say virtually anything you see on the screen: choose news category, view current video, see next slide or video, go back to the slideshow, etc.
In order to give you freedom of choice – we offer you a unique chance to see what other media sources say on the same subject with ‘another point of view’ voice command. Once you say that command our system will try to match the video that you are viewing to another from different source. That is done based on key words that are attached to the video.
If you do not want to watch news on certain subject – ban it with ‘never show me this’, and vice versa – follow an interesting story by adding key words to your preferences.
